This program is for those who are keen to enter the exciting and rapidly expanding world of games where the only limits are your imagination.
You will receive a thorough grounding in the creative development of games art and design, moving from art-foundation skills to storytelling, story boarding, cinematography, 3-dimensional modelling, human movement, games level design, computer interface issues, sound design and the influence of games on society.
In the final year, you will have the opportunity to participate in a major group project based on creative design concepts which leads to a proof-of-concept product.
Attendance
The Bachelor of Games Design is campus-based and will be offered in full-time mode. Students are expected to attend 12 hours of contact time per week.
Career opportunities
There is big demand for character animators, gameplay-level designers, lighting artists, 3-dimensional modelling artists, concept artists, 2-dimensional animators, graphic designers, storyboard developers and design layout artists. As a graduate of this program, you will be ideally positioned for the expanding world of games.
